JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an entry-level BMS Site Engineer to support the installation, termination, and commissioning of low voltage electrical works for Building Management Systems and Chiller Plant automation. The role involves hands-on fieldwork at project sites, working closely with the project team to ensure timely and quality execution of BMS installations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL WORKS:
- Study and understand electrical drawings, and cable schedules for site execution
- Execute cable laying, trunking, and conduit installation as per approved drawings
- Perform termination of sensors, actuators, and field controllers at panel and device level
- Carry out point-to-point cable testing and continuity checks
- Assist in panel wiring
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks for field devices and control panels
ELECTRICAL WORKS:
- Install and terminate sensors for chiller plant monitoring
- Wire energy meters, VFD panels, and control interfaces
- Support in modbus communication cable laying and termination
- Assist in power supply connections for control panels and field devices
- Perform cable segregation between power and control circuits
TROUBLESHOOTING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
- Identify and resolve field wiring issues and device connectivity problems
- Perform basic troubleshooting
- Support commissioning team in loop checking and fault rectification
- Assist in resolving communication issues between controllers and field devices
- Conduct preventive checks and report equipment malfunctions
SITE COORDINATION & DOCUMENTATION:
- Coordinate with civil and MEP contractors for cable routing and device mounting locations
- Support in bill measurement and quantity verification for completed works
- Prepare material consumption reports and site work progress updates
- Follow site safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain daily site reports and work progress documentation
- Support in material tracking and site inventory management
- Participate in site meetings and progress reviews
QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION:
- Ensure installation work meets project specifications and quality standards
- Maintain as-built drawings and cable schedules
- Document device locations and wiring terminations
- Support commissioning team with loop testing and calibration activities
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years to 5 year of hands-on experience in electrical/ project execution
- Exposure to low voltage wiring and device installation preferred
- Experience in chiller plant or industrial control systems is an advantage
- Fresh ITI graduates with relevant project training will be considered
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and termination practices
- Knowledge of cable types (shielded, multi-core, control cables)
- Familiarity with hand tools, crimping tools, and multimeters
- Basic understanding of sensors (temperature, pressure, flow, humidity)
- Knowledge of VFD panels and modbus wiring is a plus
- Any exposure to PLCs or controllers (Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley,
- Johnson Controls, Honeywell) will be an added advantage not mandatory
- Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
