Job Description – Pre-Primary Coordinator
Location: Presidium School, Vivek Vihar
Position Summary
The Pre-Primary Coordinator is responsible for leading the academic and day-to-day operations of the Pre-Primary Wing (Nursery, LKG & UKG). The role ensures the effective implementation of the early years curriculum, mentors teachers, promotes child-centric learning, and creates a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of every child. The coordinator works closely with the Principal to maintain high academic standards and parent satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership
- Plan, implement, and monitor the pre-primary curriculum in alignment with the school's vision and CBSE/NEP 2020 guidelines.
- Ensure activity-based, experiential, and play-way teaching methodologies are followed.
- Monitor lesson plans, teaching aids, and classroom activities to maintain academic quality.
- Ensure timely completion of curriculum and effective assessment practices.
Teacher Supervision & Development
- Guide, mentor, and support Pre-Primary teachers in classroom planning and execution.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize teacher training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Promote innovative teaching strategies and best classroom practices.
Student Development
- Monitor children's academic, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Support teachers in identifying students requiring additional attention or intervention.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Parent Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication.
- Conduct parent orientation programmes and parent-teacher meetings.
- Address parent concerns promptly and professionally while ensuring high levels of parent satisfaction.
Academic Planning & Events
- Prepare annual academic calendars and activity planners.
- Coordinate celebrations, theme-based learning activities, field trips, assemblies, and special events.
- Ensure effective implementation of school programmes and enrichment activities.
Administration
- Maintain academic records, attendance, assessment reports, and documentation.
- Ensure classrooms are well-equipped with age-appropriate teaching-learning resources.
- Coordinate with the Principal and other departments for smooth school operations.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safety norms, and academic procedures.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. and ECCEd/NTT (preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience in Early Years, with 2–3 years in an academic coordination or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education practices, NEP 2020, and foundational learning principles.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
