Software Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performance backend systems, services, and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, reusable, and well-structured code following industry best practices, design principles, and coding standards.
- Work with databases to design schemas and optimize queries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML models, intelligent features, and third-party services into backend products.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the application, API, database, messaging, and infrastructure layers.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing, message queues, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, technologies, and engineering best practices relevant to the organization's technology stack.
Technical Skills Required
- Good problem-solving ability
- Solid understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms
- Knowledge of backend concepts (RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, API versioning, caching, asynchronous processing etc.)
- Understanding of SQL, and Git
- Familiarity with: Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, etc.
- Understanding of API integrations and service-to-service communication, including authentication, authorization, rate limits, and error handling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
