*Quality Engineer Job Description*
*Core role*: Own product/process quality. Prevent defects, drive continuous improvement, and make sure customer specs are met.
*Key responsibilities*
- *Quality systems*: Implement/maintain QMS like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 depending on industry
- *APQP + PPAP*: Support new product launches. Create control plans, FMEA, MSA, PPAP documentation
- *Inspection & testing*: Define sampling plans, create SOPs, work with QC lab for dimensional, material, and performance testing
- *Defect analysis*: Lead 8D, 5-Why, RCA for customer complaints and internal rejections. Track CAPA till closure
- *Supplier quality*: Audit vendors, approve suppliers, handle SCARs, monitor supplier PPM
- *Data + metrics*: Track KPIs like PPM, first pass yield, scrap, customer complaints. Use SPC, Minitab for trend analysis
- *Continuous improvement*: Drive Lean/Six Sigma projects to reduce variation and cost of poor quality
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
