Job description:
We are hiring for a Source Inspector (Contract) for an MNC Valve Manufacturing Company.
Title : Source Inspector (Contract)
Experience : 4 to 8 years for BE / 7 to 12 years for Diploma
Education: Diploma / Bachelor in Engineering (BE) – Mechanical / Production / Industrial
Principal Activities
· Performing 100% dimensional and visual inspection activities after all operations (casting, forging, Machining, NDT , HT, Hydro test, welding , NABL Labs etc..) before packing. Ensure that marking details are done according to drawing / Specification procedure and records are available.
· Work specified as listed and performed inspection in accordance with the drawings and Specification.
· NDT test Inspection, witness, reports reviews.
· Welding inspection.
· Source inspectors check raw materials/casting/ forging /machining components upon visit suppliers to ensure they meet specified standards.
· Monitoring Production Processes, inspector regularly monitor and inspect production processes, so they are adhering to quality standards.
· Conducting In-Process Inspections: During various stages of production, quality inspectors conduct in-process inspections. ...
· Nonconformance reports review and resolved with suppliers.
· Suppliers Improvement initiation
Requirement:
· Good communication skills with ability to manage suppliers and sourcing team and Cologne site.
· Strong Problem-solving skill set and good analytical skill to drive continuous improvements
· Good project management skill to manage and support sourcing transition projects
· ISO QMS 9001/14000/45000 exposure, PED, Six sigma green/black certification / Knowledge, Lean practitioner certification/ knowledge & exposure on international standards like DIN, ASTM, ASME, EN/ISO
