Sylvan Ply (India) Limited is looking for a creative and skilled Graphic Designer & Video Editor with at least 1+ year of experience who can create engaging visual designs and high-quality video content for digital and branding requirements.
Role Overview
This is a Full-Time, On-Site role based in our Kolkata Corporate Office. The Graphic Designer will be the creative anchor for our brand communication. You will work hand-in-hand with the marketing, branding and web teams to conceptualize and design high-impact visual assets. The ideal candidate is an absolute Adobe Illustrator pro who possesses deep technical print media knowledge and an innate eye for clean, modern typography and layout structures.
Key Responsibilities
Core Ideation & Conceptualization: Break through the clutter by bringing fresh, trend-forward and original design directions to our brand communication campaigns.
Omnichannel Brand Design: Conceptualize and design top-tier visual assets for digital platforms (social media, website banners, display ads) and print media (brochures, corporate annual reports, catalogs, newsletters).
In-Shop Branding (ISB) & Retail Displays: Ideate and create high-visibility retail designs, including dealer shop boards, premium product standees, counter displays and promotional danglers.
Flawless Creative Adaptations: Take master campaign concepts and seamlessly adapt them across varied formats, complex dimension grids, product packaging labels, and master corporate price lists.
Print Production Pre-Flighting: Independently manage and prepare 100% accurate, high-resolution, print-ready PDFs. You must possess complete mastery over print mechanicals, color separations (CMYK), rich black values, resolution scaling, crop marks, safety zones and bleed areas.
Corporate Document Layouts: Format, structure, and design highly polished data layouts, tables, infographics, and investor-facing annual reports with a strong aesthetic sense.
Maintain Visual Guardrails: Ensure absolute brand consistency across every consumer touchpoint while constantly updating our asset library, vector templates and brand style guides.
Must-Have Technical Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of proven hands-on experience in core graphic design, preferably working with product-based brands, manufacturing companies, or fast-paced advertising agencies.
Expert-Level Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator: You must live and breathe vector design. Exceptional mastery over Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is also strictly required.
Advanced Print Media Knowledge: Thorough, practical understanding of paper types, finishing textures, and precision print setups (handling bleeds, margins, line weights, and press checks).
Exceptional Design Sense: A sophisticated portfolio showcasing an advanced understanding of layout hierarchy, clean grid systems, precise kerning, bold typography choices and color psychology.
Trend-Fluent: Actively tuned into modern international design trends, visual subcultures and aesthetic shifts across social and retail media.
AI Tool Integration: Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered creative suites for smart editing, workflow optimization and rapid visual asset enhancement.
Good to Have (Optional)
Basic understanding of digital marketing ad specifications, asset ratios, video editing and responsive UI web layouts.
