CGI is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in building, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python scripting, Jenkins, Ansible, and modern DevOps practices to streamline software development and deployment processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to improve operational efficiency.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize build, deployment, and release processes.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
Deploy and manage applications across development, testing, and production environments.
Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and high availability.
Monitor system performance, logs, and application health using monitoring tools.
Identify bottlenecks in deployment processes and recommend automation improvements.
Document deployment procedures, automation workflows, and operational guidelines.
Participate in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
6–8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
Experience with Git and version control best practices.
Good understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift is an added advantage.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation is preferred).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
