About the Role
We are looking for a Market Research Intern to support our team in researching the kids, parenting, toys, education, and consumer products market.
The intern will help us understand market trends, competitor products, customer behavior, pricing, product features, and opportunities in the children and family-focused product category.
This role is suitable for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and interested in startups, consumer brands, kids’ products, parenting, and market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Research the kids’ products, toys, parenting, education, and learning product markets.
- Study competitors and similar products across India and global markets.
- Prepare comparison tables on product features, pricing, age group, positioning, reviews, and customer feedback.
- Research parent expectations, buying behavior, concerns, and preferences.
- Conduct and coordinate surveys, feedback forms, and focus group discussions with parents, caregivers, and relevant target users.
- Help prepare questionnaires, discussion guides, and feedback formats for surveys and focus groups.
- Analyze responses from surveys and focus groups to identify customer needs, pain points, preferences, and product opportunities.
- Analyze customer reviews from marketplaces, websites, social media, YouTube, and app stores. Identify market gaps, product opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Track new product launches, industry trends, and consumer insights.
- Prepare weekly research summaries, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support the founding team with research required for product development and business strategy.
Required Skills
- Strong internet research skills.
- Good English writing and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Ability to summarize information clearly.
- Ability to speak with people, ask structured questions, and document feedback.
- Interest in consumer products, kids’ products, parenting, education, or startups.
- Ability to create structured reports and comparison tables.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in market research, surveys, interviews, or competitor analysis.
- Understanding of D2C brands, consumer products, toys, education, or parenting categories.
- Comfortable using tools like ChatGPT, Canva, Notion, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to think from both customer and business perspectives.
