A SCADA Developer designs, develops, configures, and maintains Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems used to monitor and control industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SCADA applications and HMI screens.
- Configure PLC–SCADA communication (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, etc.).
- Develop alarms, trends, reports, and dashboards.
- Configure historian and SQL database integration.
- Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
- Troubleshoot SCADA, PLC, and communication issues.
- Prepare project documentation, backups, and user manuals.
- Commission SCADA systems at customer sites.
- Provide customer training and technical support.
Required Skills
- SCADA software: AVEVA System Platform, Wonderware InTouch, Schneider EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert, Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE, WinCC, or Citect SCADA.
- PLC programming (Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi).
- Industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
- SQL Database (MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server).
- Networking fundamentals.
- Basic scripting (VBScript, C#, or Python is an advantage).
Qualification
- B.Tech/BE/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in SCADA development and industrial automation.
