As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in producing high quality measured building survey and topographical survey deliverables using AutoCAD and associated software. Working within a high performing technical team, you will transform point cloud data, survey information and photography into accurate CAD outputs for a wide range of projects across the UK.
You will collaborate closely with surveyors, technicians and project teams to ensure deliverables meet project specifications, Plowman Craven quality standards and client expectations while working to demanding project timescales.
This role would be suited to an ambitious CAD Technician looking to broaden their technical capabilities, gain exposure to a variety of projects and continue developing their career within a high performing team.

Produce measured building survey and topographical CAD drawings from point cloud data, photographs and survey information.

Ensure all CAD deliverables are produced in accordance with project specifications, company standards and QA procedures.

Validate and verify graphical and non-graphical CAD data to maintain consistency and accuracy across project outputs.

Collaborate with fellow technicians to identify and apply the most effective authoring workflows, techniques and software.

Manage project data and information in accordance with company protocols.

Communicate proactively with project teams, providing progress updates and raising issues where necessary.

Participate in project handovers, team meetings and technical discussions.

Prioritise workloads effectively to meet project deadlines and changing business requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives for measured building survey and topographical authoring processes.

Minimum 2 years' experience converting point cloud (scan) data into AutoCAD deliverables.

Experience working on UK based surveying or engineering projects is advantageous.

Qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline preferred.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and CAD standards.

Experience producing measured building survey and/or topographical survey drawings.
