Basic Qualification
B.E or B.Tech Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or higher - minimum 3 years experience
Job Description
FEA modeling in HyperMesh. Modal / static analysis for relevant load cases on parts in the respective categories
Dynamic / durability analysis with the help of CAE teams
Based on styling surfaces and volumes, concept Layout and packaging of internal lighting parts
Responsible for layout & Interface checks in 3D, with surrounding parts and highlighting clearance / interferecne issues, if any
Incorporate all aspects of functionality, performance, regulatory requirements and manufacturability
Ensuring that the part design respect all the DFM principles for respective part categories
Review the part design & prepare DFM checksheets before release
Communicating interface isssues with verticals / styling
Ensure timely completion of activities as per given time targets by proper management of personnel and resources
Basic Competencies
Expertise in Creo or UG NX Version or Catia.
MS Office incuding Power point, Excel etc
Expertise in relevant FEA tools like Hyper Mesh etc
Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA and DFS aspects
Expertise in preparing 2D drawings & Knowledge of GD&T
Good knowledge of and exposure to relevant manufacturing processes inhouse as well as at vendors
Proficiencies
Good Knowledge of design of Injection and blow molded parts
Good Knowledge of design of Sheet metal fabricated parts
Good Knowledge of design of Aluminium die cast and steel forged and machined parts
Any or all mentioned in Cat 1,2 & 3
Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics
Kinematic analysis of mechanical linkages & suspension geometry using Adams.
Good knowledge of design concepts for automotive or 2W lighting, including all types of light source like bulb, LED etc
Good Knowledge of Plastic Injection and blow molding process & tools
Good Knowledge of design of tubular fabricated parts
Good Knowledge of design of Aluminium & steel forged and machined parts
Knowledge about automotive and 2W industry standards and regulations, applicable globally for 2 Wheeler.
Good knowledge of DFM requirements for injection and blow molded parts
Good Knowledge of design of welded / fabricated parts
Good Knowledge of HPDC, LPDC, warm and cold forging, steel extrusion, sintered parts, aluminium precision machining, steel precision machining process & tools
Exposure to lamps/ bulbs/ LED manufacturing and validation facilities
Good Knowledge of sheet metal forming, deep drawing, welding, tube bending etc
Good knowledge of DFM requirements for die cast, forged sintered and machined parts
Good knowledge of DFM requirements for press & fabrication parts
Preferred experience
Experience in working with Automotive or 2 Wheeler plastic parts like fairings, seat cowls, fenders, seat assy and for PT - engine side systems like air filters, ducts, fans, cowlings and coolant expansion tanks, seals, gaskets
Experience in working with Automotive or 2 Wheeler P&F parts like fuel tanks, frames, brackets, guards, step holders etc & for PT - Experience in exhaust systems like tubes, muffler shells, baffles, clamps, brackets and relevant welding
Experience in working with Automotive or 2 Wheeler parts like Alloy wheels, grab handles, step holders, etc & for PT - Cylinder heads, valve train components, crankcases, covers, block, conrod, crankshafts, oil pumps, journal bearings
Experience in working with Automotive or 2 Wheeler suspension, brakes, lock, latches, cables and controls.
Experience in working with Automotive or 2 Wheeler lighting system parts.
