Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong R&D Head to lead the Research & Development function for HVAC products. The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of experience in HVAC R&D, product development, engineering, and innovation, with strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete R&D and Product Development function for HVAC products.
- Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with business and product objectives.
- Lead the development of new HVAC products, technologies, and product platforms.
- Oversee product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and commercialization.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to mass production.
- Lead product improvement, cost reduction, value engineering, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure products comply with applicable BIS, BEE, ISO, safety, energy-efficiency, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze field failures, customer feedback, and product performance to drive corrective actions and improvements.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Service, and Supply Chain teams.
- Manage technology partners, suppliers, testing laboratories, and external technical agencies.
- Develop technical roadmaps and identify emerging HVAC technologies and market trends.
- Manage R&D budgets, resources, timelines, and project priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop R&D engineers and technical teams.
- Protect technical documentation, product specifications, designs, and intellectual property.
Requirements
- Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience in HVAC R&D, Product Development, Product Engineering, or Air-Conditioning Manufacturing.
- Strong experience in HVAC product design, refrigeration cycles, thermal systems, controls, testing, and validation.
- Proven experience managing NPI and end-to-end product development projects.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAE tools, product testing, reliability engineering, and engineering change management.
- Knowledge of applicable HVAC standards, energy-efficiency requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder-management skills.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
