Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, counseling customers on medication usage, and maintaining inventory. This role is ideal for recent pharmacy graduates or pharmacists with up to 1 year of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medicines accurately according to doctor's prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for completeness, authenticity, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide customers with information on medication dosage, administration, storage, and side effects.
- Maintain proper records of prescriptions and pharmacy transactions.
- Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including stock replenishment and expiry tracking.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, company policies, and healthcare standards.
- Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) medication selection and healthcare products.
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals when clarification on prescriptions is required.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
- Support billing and cash handling activities as required.
- Home delivery , market cover during emergency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
- Registered Pharmacist with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.
- 0–1 year of experience in retail pharmacy (freshers are welcome to apply).
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and dispensing practices.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
