Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Store & Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities and inventory operations for our Sheet Metal Manufacturing Plant. The candidate will be responsible for timely procurement of materials, vendor coordination, inventory management, and maintaining accurate stock records to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities Purchase Management
- Source and procure raw materials, consumables, hardware, electrical items, and production-related materials.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize vendors.
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow up for timely deliveries.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Store Management
- Maintain inward and outward material records.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
- Issue materials to production against approved requisitions.
- Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory.
Inventory Control
- Monitor inventory accuracy through ERP/manual records.
- Control slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Accounts for stock reconciliation.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain GRN, material issue slips, stock registers, and purchase documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, and Accounts departments.
- Track supplier performance and delivery schedules.
- Resolve material shortages and procurement issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Store & Purchase functions.
- Experience in inventory management and material planning.
- Knowledge of ERP software and advanced MS Excel.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Engineering, Automotive, or Manufacturing Industry.
- Knowledge of steel sheets, pipes, hardware, fasteners, electrical components, paints, packaging materials, and production consumables.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
