Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Legal Executive for our Muzaffarpur location. The candidate will be responsible for handling legal recovery matters, arbitration cases, cheque bounce matters, legal notices, court coordination, and legal compliance related to vehicle finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal recovery and collection matters related to vehicle finance cases.
- Draft and review legal notices, affidavits, agreements, petitions, and legal documents.
- Manage arbitration proceedings, cheque bounce cases (NI Act 138), and recovery matters.
- Coordinate with panel advocates, police authorities, and court officials.
- Attend court hearings and follow up on pending legal cases.
- Handle repossession-related legal formalities and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with RBI and NBFC legal regulations.
- Maintain legal MIS, case records, and documentation.
- Support branch collection and operations teams in legal matters.
- Conduct field visits whenever required for recovery/legal follow-ups.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Arbitration Act, SARFAESI, NI Act, and recovery laws.
- Excellent drafting and legal documentation skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to independently handle litigation and recovery cases.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal reporting.
Qualification & Experience
- LLB mandatory (LLM preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in NBFC, Banking, Vehicle Finance, or Financial Services legal department.
- Experience in vehicle finance/legal recovery will be highly preferred.
