Job Responsibility
Understand the automotive brake system components functioning and analyze the market failure related to it. [Major parts are ESP actuaotors with ECU, electronic brake booster, Tendom master cylinder, brake caliper and discs etc].
Quick resolution of brakes system related market failures through root cause analysis and taking counter-measures.
Market action judgement for suspected vehicles in market based on investigation and failure mode.
Warranty analysis of brake system parts and coordination with respective agency like suppliers, inhouse assembly plant, design and field service for countermeasure implementation.
Competency Required
Awareness of new technologies in automotive brake systems like ESP, ADAS [automotive drivers assistance system], electronic boosters etc.
Knowledge of automotive-specific government regulations live motor vehicle act and mandatory recall code etc.
Knowledge of automotive industry regulations related to brakes.
Analytical ability to identify critical issues and consultation with management for quick action.
Clear communication, soft skills, interpersonal relations to effectively handle technical and managerial stakeholders like suppliers.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, plant, suppliers/ dealers and management
Specific Expertise for Functional Area
Essential: Hands-on experience of automotive brake system parts & ADAS functions, construction, and investigation. ABS/ESP/ECU/electronic booster etc.
Optional: knowledge of brake testing and development.
