Job Summary
emote Desktop Services (RDS) Administration • Administer and support Microsoft Remote Desktop Services infrastructure. • Manage and troubleshoot: o RD Session Host o RD Connection Broker o RD Web Access o RD Gateway o RD Licensing Server • Configure and support RemoteApp and Virtual Desktop environments. • Manage RDS licensing and compliance requirements. • Troubleshoot session disconnects, login failures, profile issues, performance bottlenecks, and printer redirection problems. • Perform RDS upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery testing, and capacity planning. • Implement and support RDS High Availability solutions. Infrastructure Services • Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Certificate Services. • Manage Windows file services, storage, and clustering solutions. • Support VMware, AWS, and Azure-hosted Windows workloads. • Implement server security hardening and Microsoft best practices. Patching & Vulnerability Management • Perform Windows patch deployment and compliance activities using SCCM/MECM or WSUS. • Support vulnerability remediation programs and security initiatives. • Coordinate security updates, OS hardening, and compliance remediation. • Generate compliance and patching status reports. Incident, Change & Problem Management • Troubleshoot server and RDS-related incidents within SLA. • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues. • Participate in change planning, implementation, and validation activities. • Support major incidents and critical outage recovery activities. • Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge articles. Automation & Continuous Improvement • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for operational automation. • Automate repetitive administrative and reporting tasks. • Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency. • Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Technical Expertise Windows Server Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025. • Good understanding of Windows Server architecture, services, and administration. • Experience performing OS upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. • Knowledge of Failover Clustering and High Availability solutions.
