Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Purpose:
The Interior Designer leads the design process from concept to execution, translating client requirements into functional and aesthetic design solutions. The role involves creative direction, technical detailing, material selection, coordination with project and site teams, and ensuring design intent is maintained through all project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Concept Development
- Develop innovative and functional design concepts aligned with client briefs and brand identity.
- Create mood boards, material palettes, and concept presentations.
- Stay updated with design trends, materials, lighting, and sustainability solutions.
2. Design Detailing & Documentation
- Prepare detailed working drawings, space plans, joinery details, and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and vendors for design integration.
- Review and approve GFC (Good for Construction) drawings before release to site.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and project timelines.
3. Client Interaction
- Lead client meetings and presentations to communicate design intent effectively.
- Understand client feedback and incorporate changes while maintaining design integrity.
- Support project teams in explaining design rationale and material selections to clients.
4. Project Coordination
- Work closely with the project management and site execution teams to ensure smooth implementation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify design compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely material approvals and mock-ups.
5. Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Guide and review work of junior designers and interns.
- Assign design tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality control across all design stages.
- Encourage creativity, technical precision, and accountability within the design team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Interior Design / Architecture or related field.
- Experience: 4–12 years of professional experience in commercial, retail, or experiential interiors.
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, MS Office.
- Strong conceptualization and visualization ability.
- Excellent sense of materiality, detailing, and spatial aesthetics.
- Ability to translate concepts into executable design packages.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership skills with an eye for quality and detail.

- Timely delivery of design submissions and documentation.
- Client satisfaction and feedback on design quality.
- Adherence to budgets and project timelines.
- Accuracy between design intent and site execution.
