Role Description
- Perform dimensional inspection using instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.
- Inspect machined and fabricated components at supplier facilities
- Verify drawings, tolerances, and material specifications
- Prepare inspection reports with photographs and observations
- Support pre-dispatch inspection and quality verification activities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in machining / fabrication inspection
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of quality inspection tools and methods
- Experience in supplier quality inspection or third-party inspection is an advantage
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 2–8 years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or supplier quality
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge, feeler gauge, etc.
- Experience in machining, fabrication, or industrial component inspection preferred
- Basic knowledge of quality documentation and inspection reporting
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations for inspection activities
Preferred (not mandatory):
- Experience in third-party inspection or supplier quality inspection
- Knowledge of welding inspection or NDT (DPT)
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems
