- Manpower Handling: Efficiently assign operators and helpers to machines to ensure maximum output and zero idle time.
2. Quality & Technical Supervision
- Job Monitoring: Personally verify the "first-off" sample of every job. Check for accurate creasing, clean punching, and strong pasting/binding.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Guide operators on machine settings for complex packaging designs or special binding requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Coordinate with Pre-press or Printing departments if any issues are found in the printed sheets before finishing begins.
3. Maintenance & Efficiency
- Machine Care: Reduce machine downtime by ensuring regular oiling, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
- History Cards: Maintain updated “History Cards” for all finishing equipment to track performance and repairs.
- Waste Control: Ensure the job is completed with minimum wastage of paper, board, and adhesives.
4. Inventory & Stock Management

- Reporting: Submit monthly stock statements to the accounts department and ensure all raw materials are handled without loss.
- Final Readiness: Ensure all finished goods are properly labeled and moved to the dispatch section according to the delivery date.
Required Skills & Experience
