About the Role
We are hiring a highly practical, hands-on Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our hardware engineering team in Kozhikode. This is a full-time, onsite role for freshers and entry-level engineers (0 to 1 year of experience) who live to build things in the physical world.
We are specifically looking for a "maker" engineering graduate who has spent less time memorizing textbooks and more time in the workshop, specifically someone with practical experience designing and building custom mechanical assemblies, small vehicles, go-karts, custom drivetrains, or differentials.
Key Responsibilities
- Prototyping & Fabrication: Take designs from concepts to physical prototypes, including cutting, drilling, and basic assembly of mechanical parts.
- Drivetrain & Mechanical Assembly: Assemble, test, and optimize complex mechanical mechanisms such as differentials, gearboxes, steering linkages, and suspension systems.
- Chassis & Framework Development: Work on structural components, custom chassis design (similar to go-kart or small vehicle frames), and robust enclosures.
- Testing & Iteration: Conduct stress and functional testing on fabricated units, diagnose structural failures, and implement quick, iterative improvements.
- Documentation: Create clear bill of materials (BOM), assembly guides, and basic layout diagrams for the fabrication team.

Qualifications
- Experience: 0–1 year of experience (Freshers with massive hands-on college or personal projects are highly encouraged to apply).
- Education: B.Tech / BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Core Practical Experience: Proven experience building or maintaining mechanical vehicles/systems (e.g., custom go-karts, all-terrain vehicles, custom gearboxes, or complex mechanical linkages).
- CAD Tools: Foundational proficiency in 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, or AutoCAD.
- Mindset: An absolute passion for tinkering, high spatial intelligence, and a safety-first approach to handling workshop tools.
Preferred Qualifications (Huge Plus Points)
- Hands-on familiarity with workshop machinery (lathes, drilling machines, angle grinders) and basic welding principles.
- Basic understanding of materials selection (aluminum grades, steel alloys, composites) and fastening standards.
