We are inviting applications from passionate and qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor – Computer Science to be deployed at IIMT University, Meerut.
Job Summary
The Assistant Professor – Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, mentoring students, supporting curriculum development, participating in research activities, and contributing to the academic and administrative excellence of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical classes in Computer Science and related subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, study materials, and laboratory manuals.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, assignments, coding evaluations, and project reviews.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, and student performance through the ERP/LMS.
- Mentor students for academics, internships, placements, hackathons, and career development.
- Develop and update curriculum in line with university guidelines and industry trends.
- Guide students in software development, research projects, and final-year capstone projects.
- Organize coding competitions, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, and technical events.
- Participate in examination duties, paper setting, evaluation, invigilation, and viva examinations.
- Contribute to research publications, conferences, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), patents, and innovation activities.
- Support accreditation activities such as NAAC, NBA, and other quality assurance initiatives.
- Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Department and University.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:
- Computer Science
- Computer Science & Engineering
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- MCA
- M.Tech (Computer Science/IT)
- Data Science
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Or any other relevant discipline.
- NET/Ph.D. will be an added advantage as per UGC/University norms.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic credentials are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1–5 years of teaching or relevant industry experience will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C, C++, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms, DBMS, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, or Full Stack Development will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Effective classroom management and student mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/LMS platforms, Git/GitHub, and digital teaching tools.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Research aptitude and commitment to continuous professional development.
