Role Summary:
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of all construction materials and services for Jaywant Group’s real estate projects. The primary goal is to ensure cost-efficiency, high quality, and timely delivery of materials to various project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase core construction materials including Steel, Cement, RMC, Bricks, and Sand, as well as finishing materials like Tiles, Sanitaryware, and Electrical fittings.
- Identify, onboard, and maintain a strong database of reliable suppliers and contractors. Conduct regular audits of vendor performance.
- Negotiate bulk deals and annual rate contracts to achieve maximum cost savings without compromising on quality.
- Prepare detailed Comparative Statements (CS) and provide cost-benefit analysis to the management for approval.
- Work closely with the Senior Civil Engineers at sites (e.g., Khed Shivapur) to align procurement with construction schedules and avoid project delays.
- Monitor site-level inventory to minimize wastage and ensure zero stock-outs of critical materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 7–12 years in Real Estate/Construction procurement.
- Education: B.E. Civil or Diploma in Material Management.
- Skills: Expertise in price negotiation, contract management, and proficiency in ERP/Purchase software.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current market rates and top-tier vendors in the Pune/Maharashtra region.
