Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with a strong background in COBOL and related technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software development processes and a proven ability to analyze requirements and deliver high quality solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications using COBOL, DB2, and JCL on mainframe systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Document software designs, processes, and user manuals as needed.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of COBOL programming language.
- Experience with ADABAS and DB2 databases.
- Proficiency in JCL and mainframe environments.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand complex requirements.
- Experience in unit testing and debugging software applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with other programming languages or technologies.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software development, specifically with COBOL.
Proven track record of delivering high quality software solutions on time
Pay: From ₹1,000,000.00 per month
