Job Purpose
The Terracotta Project Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and coordinating terracotta craft development projects. The role will focus on strengthening artisan livelihoods, improving production capacity and product quality, introducing appropriate designs and techniques, developing market linkages, and ensuring timely achievement of project targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Implementation
- Prepare project work plans, activity schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate and execute project activities within approved timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
- Identify implementation challenges and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, government departments, NGOs, designers, buyers, and other stakeholders.
2. Artisan & Cluster Development
- Identify and mobilize terracotta artisans and artisan groups.
- Conduct field visits to understand artisan needs, production capacity, and challenges.
- Facilitate formation/strengthening of artisan groups, SHGs, cooperatives, or producer groups.
- Support artisans in improving productivity, income, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
- Maintain updated records of artisans, clusters, training, production, and beneficiaries.
3. Production & Technical Support
- Monitor terracotta production from raw-material procurement through finishing and packaging.
- Support artisans in improving clay preparation, moulding, shaping, drying, firing, glazing/finishing, and product development.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
