Accountant cum administrator is responsible for both financial and administrative duties, which include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, maintaining financial records and preparing reports, managing all supplies and correspondence, and coordinating staff activities. This individual acts as the primary point of contact for financial and administrative matters for the resort's small team.
Accounting and Financial Responsibilities
· Manage day to day accounting operations using Tally ERP
· Prepare and file GST returns and TDS
- Bookkeeping and Ledger Management: Maintain accurate financial records, post journal entries, and manage accounts.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, receive payments, and manage vendor payments and bills.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing financial statements and reports, and conduct month-end and year-end closes.
- Payroll: Process payroll and manage associated employee data.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and perform bank-related correspondence.
- Budgeting: Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and handle tax filings.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Office Management: Manage general office duties, and maintain filing systems.
- Staff Support: Assist with HR-related tasks, such as managing employee files, and support with onboarding and leave management.
- Correspondence and Communication: Handle internal and external email communications and act as a point of contact for staff and external parties.
- Support for Management: Assist management with administrative tasks and reporting.
- Inventory: Responsible for inventory management and reporting, particularly for resort supplies or amenities.
Prior experience in hotels is a plus.
