Experience: 3–8 Years (Modular Furniture / Interior Manufacturing Preferred)
Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Furniture Technology, or ITI/Diploma in Carpentry/Wood Technology with relevant experience.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our modular furniture manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials while coordinating with design, planning, quality, dispatch, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities as per the production schedule
Allocate manpower and machine resources for maximum productivity
Monitor manufacturing of modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, office furniture, bedroom furniture, storage units, and customized interiors
Ensure accurate interpretation of production drawings, cut lists, and assembly drawings
Oversee machining, CNC operations, edge banding, drilling, assembly, finishing, and packing
Coordinate preventive machine maintenance and minimize downtime
Monitor material availability and reduce wastage through optimized sheet utilization
Ensure product quality through inspections and adherence to specifications
Lead and train production teams while maintaining discipline and productivity
Enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and 5S housekeeping standards
Maintain daily production reports, machine utilization, manpower deployment, and inventory records
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of plywood, MDF, HDHMR, particle board, laminates, veneers, acrylic finishes, edge bands, and furniture hardware
Ability to read production drawings, cut lists, and assembly drawings
Familiarity with CNC nesting, panel optimization, and production planning
Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and quality standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
ERP/MRP system experience is an added advantage
