Organization: Enrich Lives Foundation (ELF) in partnership with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)
Location: Parmanandwadi MPS School, Mumbai
Employment Type: Contract basis
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (8 hours per day)

Purpose of the Role
The Primary Teacher – Mathematics & EVS will be responsible for delivering engaging, activity-based, and child-centric learning experiences for students of Grades III, IV, and V. The teacher will ensure conceptual understanding, improve learning outcomes, and nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and environmental awareness while creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics and Environmental Studies (EVS) to students of Grades III, IV, and V in accordance with the Maharashtra State Board curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, unit plans, daily lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching-learning materials.
- Deliver interactive, experiential, and activity-based lessons using innovative teaching methodologies.
- Use digital teaching aids such as interactive boards and other educational resources to enhance classroom learning.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Identify slow learners and provide remedial support while encouraging advanced learners through enrichment activities.
- Integrate real-life examples and experiential learning into Mathematics and EVS lessons.
Student Development
- Foster curiosity, logical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific temperament among students.
- Create a joyful, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Encourage participation in classroom discussions, projects, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.
- Promote values such as discipline, teamwork, cleanliness, empathy, environmental responsibility, and respect.
Classroom Management
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of teaching-learning materials and classroom resources.
- Maintain cleanliness and an organized classroom conducive to learning.
Assessment & Documentation
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, progress reports, and academic documentation.
- Track student progress and implement improvement plans where required.
- Submit reports and documentation as directed by the School Principal and ELF.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and communicate students' academic progress and behavioural development.
- Work collaboratively with parents to improve attendance, learning outcomes, and overall child development.
Collaboration & School Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Principal, fellow teachers, and ELF Education Team to achieve academic goals.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, examinations, school events, celebrations, and educational initiatives.
- Support school enrolment drives, student retention, and other institutional activities.
Professional Responsibilities
- Uphold the values, policies, and code of conduct of Enrich Lives Foundation and BMC.
- Maintain confidentiality of school and student information.
- Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and ethical conduct at all times.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the School Principal or Enrich Lives Foundation in the interest of the programme.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (B.Sc./B.A./B.Com.) with D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and EVS for the primary grades.
- Proficiency in English and Marathi/Hindi is desirable.
- Basic computer and digital teaching skills.

- Positive feedback from students, parents, and school leadership.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
