Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Cafe Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of coffee preparation, be customer-focused, and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold coffee, and other beverages.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and beverage quality.
- Handle billing and cash/POS transactions when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar and work area.
- Monitor inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and food safety procedures.
- Assist with café opening and closing duties.
- Handle customer queries and resolve basic complaints professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for smooth café operations.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience as a Barista or in a café environment preferred.
- Knowledge of espresso-based beverages and basic coffee-making techniques.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hygiene, grooming, and presentation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Freshers with relevant training and a strong interest in coffee may also apply.
