Team Profile:
Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) works with strategic players across industries and PE community. TAG focuses on providing potential clients with an understanding of Company’s
(i) Sustainable economic earnings
(ii) Historical sales and operating expense trends
(iii) Working capital needs
(iv) Key assumptions used in management’s forecast
(v) Key personnel and accounting information systems
TAG covers quality of earnings (over/understated assets and liabilities, post-closing cost structure changes), trend analysis (key market drivers, sales strategies, customer relationships and customer churn) and qualitative observations like company’s internal control structure, management and accounting team, and accounting information system.
TAG team closely works with other Business Units like Business Transformation Services (CDD and Performance Improvement) and Corporate Finance and Restructuring.
How will you contribute:
- Contribute to diverse Transaction Analytics projects, collaborating closely with our Managing Directors, Directors and Senior Managers.

Employ a range of visualization, primarily using Microsoft Power-BI, and programming tools, primarily Alteryx, to handle large, intricate data sets, delivering tailored solutions to support client decision-making.

Provide analytical services to private equity firms and corporations throughout the transaction lifecycle, uncovering actionable insights to guide M&A, divestment, and investment strategies.

Gain exposure to a wide array of industries by working with large-cap and mid-cap PE firms, corporate clients, and financial institutions across various regions.

Develop client relationships and promote our Transaction Analytics services, while collaborating with the broader A&M network to offer integrated solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in commerce/Analytics/Business Studies etc.

Masters in commerce or similar course will be advantageous.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Alteryx, with demonstrated capability in developing end-to-end automated workflows (data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, modelling, and output automation).

Strong expertise in building automated static pool analysis, flow rate tracking, portfolio monitoring, and ECL model workflows within Alteryx.

Proven experience in creating interactive dashboards in Power BI for credit portfolio analytics (Stage migration, PAR, LGD, ECL movement, disbursement cohorts, etc.).

Mandatory Alteryx Core Certification (Advanced Certification preferred).

Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python for large dataset handling; experience in handling bureau datasets (e.g., CRIF/CIBIL-type data) preferred.

Prior experience in Deal / Transaction Analytics, FDD, or portfolio analytics for NBFCs, HFCs, Banks, or Financial Services sector clients.

Good understanding of financial services domain, particularly retail lending, construction finance, portfolio monitoring, and credit risk concepts (PD, LGD, ECL, staging, static pools, flow rates).

Experience working with Private Equity clients or large financial institutions would be advantageous.

Ability to translate analytical outputs into business-ready dashboards and management insights.
