Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall fire safety, security, and emergency preparedness of the plant.
- Inspect fire extinguishers, hydrants, fire pumps, fire alarms, emergency exits, and other firefighting equipment.
- Ensure firefighting equipment is regularly tested, maintained, and in working condition.
- Conduct fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, and safety training for employees and security personnel.
- Monitor and control entry/exit of employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and materials.
- Ensure proper implementation of Gate Pass, Visitor Pass, Material Gate Pass, and Vehicle Entry/Exit procedures.
- Supervise security guards and ensure proper deployment at all security points.
- Monitor CCTV, access control systems, security registers, and incident records.
- Investigate and report incidents related to fire, theft, unauthorized entry, accidents, or security breaches.
- Coordinate with the fire brigade, police, emergency services, and other authorities when required.
- Conduct regular plant rounds to identify fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and security risks.
- Maintain fire safety records, inspection reports, drill reports, incident reports, and security documentation.
- Train employees and security staff on fire prevention, emergency response, evacuation, and basic firefighting.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety policies, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.
- Support management during emergencies and ensure effective implementation of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate / Diploma in Fire & Safety, Industrial Safety, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in Fire Safety & Security, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
- Good knowledge of firefighting systems, emergency response, CCTV, access control, and security operations.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and take effective decisions during emergency situations.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Strong observation, discipline, and problem-solving skills.
