Job Summary
The Costing Analyst will act as a business partner to Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, SCM, CRM, and Finance teams by providing timely financial insights, improving cost transparency, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end product costing for Motors and Drives, including Planned, Standard, Committed (PO), and Actual Cost, while driving variance analysis and sales order profitability.

Review and validate costing assumptions, BOM costing, standard price updates, material master governance, and pricing guidelines to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Partner with Engineering, Procurement, SCM, Manufacturing, Product Management, and CRM teams to improve product profitability, cost competitiveness, and resolve cost overruns.

Review purchase orders to ensure correct financial coding, sales order mapping, and compliance with finance governance.

Monitor inventory movement, ageing, perpetual inventory, and physical stock verification to improve inventory accuracy and working capital.

Prepare and monitor Non-Conformance Cost (NCC), warranty, Cost-to-Sales reports, and ensure timely accounting entries and corrective actions.

Administer monthly Royalty, Brand Fee, and intercompany cost calculations, including HQ reporting, invoice validation, and audit support.

Review operating expenses, provisions, vendor payables, supplier advances, import payments, ICC clearances, and vendor reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Develop AI-enabled dashboards, data analytics models, and automated MIS using SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other digital tools to support business decision-making.

Drive continuous process improvements, SAP master data governance, and coordinate with Procurement, SCM, Production, Quality, GBS, and HQ teams to enhance operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
CMA / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter with commerce degree - equivalent with relevant manufacturing finance experience.
Experience
Other Qualifications: 4–7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance, product costing, factory controlling, or commercial finance.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferrable
Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAP (preferably FI/CO, MM, PP and SD integration).

Strong knowledge of Product Costing, Standard Costing, BOM Costing, Manufacturing Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Cost Variance Analysis.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar business intelligence tools.
-
Exposure to AI tools, data analytics, automation, and digital reporting will be a distinct advantage.
