Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for an Associate Engineer - Sensing in the Engine Sensing & Electrification (ESE) division of Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.
The primary responsibility of this role is development of 3D models and 2D drawings of components , sub-assemblies and assemblies to support existing & new Aerospace Sensing Products.
• Position’s main focus will be to prepare technical design details & drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for Aerospace.
• Design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• Perform GD&T & Tolerance stake up analysis for product designs. .
• Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with external vendors/suppliers.
• Experience in Sustaining engineering (i.e. execution of CO/CR) and understanding of the PLM lifecycle
• Person in this position must have working knowledge of CAD tools such as CATIA,Pro/E Creo, Solid works, and AutoCAD, assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
• Person should have good understanding of design guidelines standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.
• Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models
• Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal / external customers and resolves technical challenges
• Should have good understanding of DFMA (Design for manufacturability & assembly). Shall leverage DFMA principals while working on engineering designs and drawings
