Accounts & Store Assistant (Metal Fabrication Factory)

Job Purpose:
We are seeking an independent and organized Accounts & Store Assistant Executive to spearhead our factory logistics, inventory control, and store operations. This role completely owns the material cycle—from tracking raw material inward to managing dispatches and generating E-way bills.Note: This is a core plant logistics and inventory role. It does not involve post-dispatch commercial accounting, sales invoicing, or GST filing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Gate, Challan & Dispatch Operations
- Logistics Tracking: Manage raw material (RM) inward/outward logs and maintain strict Job Work In/Out registers.
- Vendor Coordination: Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries against open Purchase Orders (POs).
- Documentation: Generate Outward Delivery Challans for finished goods and scrap; process valid E-way bills for transport.
- Gate Verification: Audit incoming steel, hardware, consumables, and gases against vendor challans and physical counts.
- Billing Handoff: Systematically organize and transfer verified dispatches to the corporate office for final invoicing.
2. Store, Inventory & Production Accounting
- BOM Management: Execute manufacturing entries using Bill of Materials (BOM) to map real-time stock consumption.
- Stock Forecasting: Process sales orders, generate material requirement sheets, and compile weekly order pipelines.
- Live Ledger Control: Record all store receipts (GRN) and floor issuances in the ERP system daily.
- Procurement Alerts: Monitor stock levels against set reorder points and issue purchase requests directly to vendors.
- Material Audits: Conduct regular physical stock verification to reconcile actual inventory with system records.
3. Workforce Data & Reporting
- Payroll Support: Maintain weekly, monthly, and annual attendance trackers for factory workers.
- Data Approvals: Prepare weekly labor payroll summaries and maintain administrative registers for management review.
- External Processing: Track inventory sheets for materials sent to third-party vendors via MS Excel.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or Diploma holder with relevant manufacturing store-keeping experience.
- Experience: 2–5 years of industrial warehouse or inventory management experience (Metal/Fabrication sector preferred).
Software Expertise:
- Tally / ERP: High proficiency in Inventory modules, Manufacturing BOM, Stock Journals, Godown management, and Excel-to-Tally data migration.
- MS Excel: Practical experience using functional templates for stock tracking and labor attendance.
Government Portals: Fluent in generating E-way bills.
Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹16,500.00 per month
