Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Service Coordinator to join our Coimbatore service hub. In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers and our technical team. You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of service requests—from the moment a call is logged to the final resolution—ensuring our onsite and in-house engineers are deployed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Call Management: Receive and log incoming service requests (both in-house walk-ins and onsite service calls) via phone, email, or portal.
- Engineer Allocation: Strategically assign tasks to field engineers and in-house technicians based on their skill sets, current workload, and geographic proximity in Coimbatore.
- Schedule Optimization: Monitor real-time status of service calls to ensure "Same Day" or "Next Day" resolution targets are met.
- Customer Liaison: Provide timely updates to customers regarding their repair status and coordinate convenient timings for onsite visits.
- Inventory Tracking: Coordinate with the warehouse/spare parts department to ensure engineers have the necessary components before heading to a site.
- Reporting: Maintain daily MIS reports of open, pending, and closed calls for management review.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) or Diploma in Electronics/Hardware.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in service coordination, operations, or a front-desk technical role (Experience in IT peripherals or consumer electronics is a plus).
- Communication: Fluent in Tamil and English. The ability to handle frustrated customers with empathy and professionalism is crucial.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM software. Basic understanding of IT hardware (speakers, monitors, cabinets, etc.) helps in better call triaging.
- Local Knowledge: Good familiarity with Coimbatore's geography to optimize engineer travel routes.
