The Graduate Trainee Security Analyst – Disaster Recovery will support the organisation’s disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities, particularly in response to cyber incidents. The role provides hands-on experience in resilience planning, testing, and continuous improvement, alongside broader exposure to cyber security operations.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (Cyber Incidents)
- Support development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Assist with identifying critical systems through risk assessment and Business Impact Assessments, recovery objectives, and dependencies
- Participate in DR and BC testing activities and exercises
- Document test outcomes and improvement actions
- Support recovery coordination during cyber incidents
- Assist with recovery activities following security incidents
- Support post-incident reviews and resilience improvements
- Maintain recovery documentation and runbooks
- Support resilience-related risk assessments and compliance activities
- Assist with audit evidence and documentation
- Participate in projects across Security Operations, Data Security (DLP), GRC, and Security Awareness
- Develop foundational security knowledge across multiple domains
Skills & Knowledge (Essential)
- Degree in Cyber Security, IT, or related field.
- Interest in disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyber resilience.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
Skills & Knowledge (Desirable)
- Awareness of BC/DR frameworks or standards.
- Familiarity with incident response concepts.
