Purchase Manager
Role Summary
Lead procurement and inventory functions for UBITTER TECHNOLOGIES’ LED lighting manufacturing subsidiary of canton machinaries. Source LED components, raw materials, consumables and packing materials from India and China, manage supplier relationships, negotiate costs/terms, coordinate imports, and maintain optimal inventory levels using online sourcing platforms (IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Alibaba, Made-in-China, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategy for LED drivers, LEDs, PCBs, optics, housings, cables, fasteners, consumables and packing materials.
Source, evaluate and qualify suppliers in India and China; conduct vendor audits and performance reviews.
Use online sourcing platforms (IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Alibaba, Made-in-China) to identify suppliers, obtain quotations, and manage RFQ processes.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, quality standards and supply agreements to meet cost and delivery targets.
Manage import/export coordination: shipping, customs documentation, freight forwarding, INCOTERMS, duties and clearance for China-sourced items.
Maintain and optimize inventory levels (raw materials, WIP, finished goods packing) to meet production schedules while minimizing carrying costs.
Implement and maintain inventory control systems (ERP/WMS) — stock reconciliation, ABC/FSN analysis, reorder points and safety stock calculations.
Raise and process purchase orders, track deliveries, resolve delivery/quality issues, and coordinate returns/replacements.
Work closely with production, engineering, quality and R&D to ensure material specifications, approvals, and change controls.
Maintain vendor master data, price lists, lead-time databases and procurement documentation.
Drive cost-reduction initiatives: vendor consolidation, alternative sourcing, bulk buying, and value engineering.
Ensure supplier compliance with quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Prepare procurement reports, KPIs and forecasts for management review.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management or Engineering.
5+ years’ procurement experience, preferably in electronics, electrical or LED lighting manufacturing with India–China sourcing exposure.
Proven experience using IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Alibaba, Made-in-China and similar platforms.
Technical Skills
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills; experience with contracts and supplier agreements.
- Knowledge of import/export processes, INCOTERMS, customs clearance and international logistics.
- Proficient with ERP/purchasing systems and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with inventory control techniques (ABC, EOQ, safety stock) and basic forecasting.
- Understanding of LED product components, quality parameters, testing and regulatory standards.

- Purchase cost savings (% vs baseline) and cost-down initiatives implemented.
- On-time delivery rate from suppliers.
- Inventory turnover and days of inventory (DOI).
- Purchase order cycle time and supplier defect rate.
- Compliance with budgeted procurement spend and working capital targets.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
