Job Title: WordPress Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The role involves working with themes, plugins, WooCommerce, Elementor, custom functionality, website optimization, and troubleshooting while collaborating with designers and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites based on business requirements.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins as needed.
- Build responsive and user-friendly web pages using Elementor or Gutenberg.
- Develop custom WordPress plugins and implement custom functionality.
- Configure and customize WooCommerce stores, products, checkout, and payment integrations.
- Integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, and external services.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and Core Web Vitals.
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and compatible across major browsers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
- Implement website security best practices and assist with backups and updates.
- Follow WordPress coding standards and maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively with the development team.
- Perform testing before deployment and support post-launch maintenance.
- Coordinate with designers, SEO specialists, and project managers to deliver projects on schedule.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress features, plugins, and web development trends.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with PHP and MySQL.
- Knowledge of WooCommerce customization.
- Experience with Elementor (Free/Pro) or Gutenberg.
- Understanding of responsive web design.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Basic knowledge of website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins.
- Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types (CPT), and custom taxonomies.
- Knowledge of hosting environments, cPanel, DNS, SSL, and website migration.
- Basic understanding of server management and caching techniques.
- Experience with multilingual websites is an advantage.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
WordPress Developer: 1–2 years of experience.
