Project Manager Intern (Planning & Coordination)
About the Role
Inches N Feet is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager Intern to join our studio. In this role, you will work alongside senior architects and designers, gaining hands-on exposure to the strategic planning and pre-construction phases of architecture and interior projects.
Please Note: This role focuses strictly on the planning, scheduling, and coordination lifecycle of project management. It does not involve on-site execution or construction management.
This is a learning-intensive, office-based role built for those ready to master the backend operations of design-led projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling: Assist the Project Manager in mapping out project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and critical paths before execution begins.
- Tracker Management: Maintain and update project trackers, master schedules, resource allocation charts, and shared dashboards.
- Documentation & Scope: Assist in preparing Scope of Work (SoW) documents, design briefs, and initial cost/time estimations for smaller projects.
- Coordination: Organize and streamline design reviews, internal meetings, and client calls to keep the planning phase on track.
- Information Flow: Manage and organize project files, working drawings, contracts, and vendor documentation.
- Communication: Serve as a central communication link between clients, consultants, and design teams through precise emails, minutes of meetings (MoM), and follow-ups.
- Progress Monitoring: Support day-to-day administrative tasks, time tracking, and progress monitoring against planned schedules.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture,Construction Management, Civil Engineering (M-Tech construction management preferred)
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and project scheduling tools; familiarity with AutoCAD or project management software (like Asana, ClickUp, or MS Project) is a major plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong grasp of project workflows and a genuine interest in the planning phase of the built environment.
- Ability to multitask, structure unstructured data, and work effectively under deadlines.
