About the Role
NB Entrepreneurs is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead and manage mechanical maintenance activities across the plant/facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and leading the mechanical maintenance team.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, team management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all mechanical maintenance activities for plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and associated systems.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance plans.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Supervise and guide the mechanical maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, and contract manpower.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical equipment failures and recurring breakdowns.
- Plan and execute annual maintenance schedules, shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and other mechanical machinery as applicable.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Projects, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Maintain adequate availability of critical spares, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repair, replacement, or modification wherever required.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, inspection records, and maintenance history.
- Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and repetitive equipment failures.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, energy efficiency, reliability improvement, and maintenance optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, statutory requirements, and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance work.
- Ensure safe execution of maintenance jobs through proper work permits, SOPs, LOTO, PPE, and other safety practices.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of new and existing mechanical equipment.
- Identify opportunities for automation, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
- Prepare and manage the mechanical maintenance budget and control maintenance expenditure.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Strong experience in plant/equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and contractors.
- Good knowledge of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance systems.
- Experience in maintenance planning, shutdown management, and equipment reliability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of maintenance documentation and computerized maintenance systems/CMMS.
- Strong communication and team-management skills.
- Good understanding of industrial safety practices and maintenance procedures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant environment.
- Knowledge of RCA, FMEA, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Experience in managing maintenance budgets and spare-parts inventory.
- Strong vendor and contractor management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdown situations.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
