Job Purpose
The Patient Counselor is responsible for counseling patients after their doctor consultation and converting them into confirmed procedure and surgery patients. The role requires good communication, regular follow-up, and the ability to understand and address patient concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel patients after their consultation and explain the doctor-recommended procedures and surgeries.
- Understand the patient’s concerns, expectations, and readiness to proceed.
- Explain treatment procedures, packages, timelines, and commercial details clearly.
- Address patient concerns related to treatment, cost, recovery, and scheduling.
- Convert counselled patients into confirmed procedure and surgery bookings.
- Follow up regularly with patients who have not yet confirmed their treatment.
- Maintain proper records of all patient enquiries, consultations, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Coordinate with doctors and the clinical team whenever patients require further clarification.
- Coordinate confirmed patients for procedure/surgery scheduling and payment.
- Maintain good relationships with patients and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Handle patient queries professionally and escalate clinical questions to the doctor.
- Achieve the assigned monthly procedure, surgery, and revenue targets.
- Ensure no potential patient is missed due to lack of follow-up.
Compensation & PLI
- The employee will receive the agreed fixed salary during the initial period.
- Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) will be added along with the salary after successful confirmation of employment.
- PLI will be based on performance and achievement of assigned procedure, surgery, and revenue targets.
- The PLI structure will be communicated separately by management.
Required Skills
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience in healthcare, aesthetic clinics, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Good communication and counseling skills.
- Strong follow-up and patient-conversion skills.
- Confident and professional personality.
- Target-oriented and willing to work towards sales and revenue goals.
- Basic computer and CRM/software knowledge.
- Good command of English and local languages.
Important
This is a patient conversion and revenue-oriented role, not just a front-office or patient coordination position. The counselor is expected to actively follow up with counselled patients and convert them into confirmed procedures and surgeries while maintaining a professional and ethical approach.
Medical diagnosis and clinical recommendations must be handled only by the qualified doctor/clinical team.
Pay: ₹11,170.03 - ₹35,610.45 per month
