Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Tool Room Programmer responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for tool room operations. The candidate will ensure precision, efficiency, and quality in machining processes while supporting tool development and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize CNC programs for machining components and tools. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications. Set up and operate CNC machines (VMC, HMC, etc.) as required. Coordinate with design and production teams for tool development. Ensure adherence to quality standards and tolerances. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Maintain proper documentation of programs and process sheets. Improve cycle time, reduce wastage, and enhance productivity. Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code). Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or similar). Understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machining processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in tool room or die/mold manufacturing. Exposure to precision machining and tight tolerance components. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or process improvement techniques.
