Job Description: APIC / DP Developer (Banking Domain)
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM API Connect (APIC) and DataPower (DP) Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance API gateways and integrations within our core banking infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- API Development & Management: Design, develop, and publish RESTful and SOAP APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC v10/v2021+) and IBM DataPower Gateway (IDG).
- Gateway Policy & Security: Implement banking-grade security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), mTLS, JWT, SAML, and custom DataPower AAA policies.
- Core Banking Integration: Connect external channels and internal microservices with legacy core banking platforms, payment gateways, and third-party fintech services.
- Gateway Development: Write custom GatewayScript, XSLT, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications for payload transformation, message routing, and rate limiting.
- CI/CD & Governance: Automate API deployment pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) across Dev, Test, and Production environments following financial compliance standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience developing with IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower Gateway in enterprise environment, preferably financial services or banking.
- Banking Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Open Banking standards (PSD2/OBIE), core banking protocols, ISO 20022, and secure payment processing.
- Security Standards: Expertise in enterprise security, PCI-DSS compliance, digital signatures, payload encryption/decryption, and web application firewalls.
- Technical Stack:
- Middleware: IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower (GatewayScript, XSLT, AAA, Multi-Protocol Gateway, WAF).
- Languages: JavaScript (Node.js/GatewayScript), XML/XSLT, JSON, YAML.
- Protocols & Standards: REST, SOAP, OpenAPI (OAS 2.0/3.0), OAuth 2.0, TLS/mTLS, Kafka/MQ.
- DevOps: Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI, Docker/Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM Certified Solution Implementer – API Connect / DataPower.
- Background in cloud-native API management architectures and microservices.
Pay: ₹230,000.00 per month
