Job Overview
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, integrate, and deliver cybersecurity-focused software features for automotive platforms. The role involves hands-on contribution across the automotive software lifecycle, working closely with system, integration, and testing teams to ensure delivery of secure, robust, and production-ready software.
This role requires strong technical ownership, the ability to analyze and implement requirements independently, and a solid understanding of automotive software development practices.
Your Role
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
OR
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Responsibilities Shall Include The Following
Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned cybersecurity software features
Analyze stakeholder and system requirements and derive complete, testable software requirements (SWE1)
Define software architecture and detailed design aligned with system constraints (SWE2)
Implement secure embedded software using C/C++ , adhering to MISRA and secure coding guidelines (SWE3)
Perform software integration, unit testing, and functional testing (SWE4 & SWE5)
Support software release, maintenance, defect resolution, and change management (SWE6)
Ensure bidirectional traceability across requirements, design, code, and tests
Perform and participate in requirements, design, and code reviews
Collaborate with system, integration, testing, and supplier teams
Mentor junior engineers and support technical decision‑making
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
Minimum Requirements
Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ development.
Experience implementing or integrating security-related software components.
Experience working with automotive ECUs, SoCs, and RTOS.
Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, and Automotive Ethernet.
Ability to analyze software requirements and translate them into implemented and tested software.
Experience developing and debugging on Renesas / NXP / Infineon / TI MCUs and MPUs
Hands‑on experience with tools such as:
Multi IDE
IAR Workbench
Code Composer Studio
Trace32
Experience working on AUTOSAR, Linux, QNX, or Android–based cybersecurity projects
Exposure to ASPICE-aligned software development practices.
Experience with unit testing, software integration testing, and embedded debugging.
Familiarity with version control systems and defect tracking tools.
Strong ownership and responsibility for assigned work.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Clear communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Skills
6+ years of experience in automotive or embedded software development.
Experience delivering production or near-production embedded software.
Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive platforms.
Hands-on experience with secure communication, cryptographic libraries, or secure boot mechanisms.
Exposure to secure firmware updates or OTA-related components.
Experience working with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 expectations from a software development and implementation perspective.
Familiarity with static analysis tools and secure CI/CD environments.
Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical point of contact.
