Position Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of the institution, ensuring accuracy in accounting, statutory compliance, treasury management, fee collection, payroll, financial reporting, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires complete ownership of the Accounts & Finance function and leadership of a team to ensure efficient financial operations while supporting the strategic objectives of the institution.
This is a leadership role requiring strong expertise in accounting, taxation, educational institution finance, compliance, ERP systems, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Fee Management & Revenue Collection
- Oversee end-to-end student fee collection processes.
- Ensure timely fee collection and follow-up on outstanding dues.
- Manage and monitor the Fee Management ERP system.
- Reconcile fee collections with bank receipts and accounting records.
- Coordinate with students, parents, admission teams, and academic departments regarding fee-related matters.
2. Accounting & Financial Control
- Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in Tally ERP.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations.
- Review journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of financial transactions.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting discipline.
3. Vendor Management & Payments
- Verify vendor bills and supporting documents.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
- Review purchase orders, invoices, and payment approvals.
- Draft and review vendor agreements, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
- Maintain healthy vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
4. Payroll & Employee Compensation
- Manage monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure statutory deductions and salary disbursement accuracy.
- Administer annual increments and salary revisions.
- Assist management in salary structuring and compensation planning.
- Coordinate employee benefit administration including gratuity and other statutory obligations.
5. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure timely compliance with all applicable laws including:

- Manage institutional cash flows.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow statements.

7. Banking & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with banks for day-to-day banking operations.

Experience
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 2–5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in educational institutions, universities, colleges, hospitals, or large service organizations is highly preferred.
- Experience handling organizations with annual turnover of ₹75–₹200 Crore will be an added advantage.
