Creative Designer (Print Digital AI Video)

UK based RF Community Media, who publish the Asian Standard Newspaper and Asian Sunday & Style Magazine is looking for a talented and forward-thinking Creative Designer to join our growing media team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative all-rounder who enjoys working across print, digital, AI-powered content creation and video. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, embraces new technology and can produce high-quality work to tight newspaper deadlines.
About the Role
You will play a key role in the production of our weekly newspapers, digital publications and online platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing our weekly newspapers using Adobe InDesign templates.
- Dropping in and formatting editorial content to produce publication-ready pages.
- Creating engaging layouts while maintaining our established brand identity.
- Using AI tools to transform selected newspaper content into interactive digital experiences and short-form video for our e-paper.
- Assisting with website design, user experience and ongoing website improvements.
- Supporting the team with video editing for social media, digital campaigns and editorial content.
- Working closely with our editorial and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Typical Weekly Workflow
Thursdays & Fridays
- Newspaper page production and design.
- Preparing files for print and digital publication.
Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
- Website design and development.
- AI-assisted content creation.
- Video editing and digital creative projects.
- Supporting ongoing multimedia campaigns.
Essential Skills
Applicants should demonstrate experience in:
- Adobe InDesign (essential).
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
- Website design and front-end development.
- HTML, CSS and basic web programming skills.
- AI-powered creative tools for design, image generation, workflow automation and video production.
- Strong typography, layout and branding skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
