Key Responsibilities
1. Finalization of Books & General Accounting
- Independently manage and execute the end-to-end finalization of books of accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare accurate Financial Statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Cash Flow summaries.
- Oversee all general ledger (GL) activities, ensuring accurate journal entries, provisions, depreciation schedules, and accruals.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis to compare actual expenditure against corporate budgets.
2. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP) Management
- Receivables: Oversee the credit control process, monitor aging reports, and drive timely collections from clients/partners to optimize working capital.
- Payables: Supervise the vendor payment cycle, ensure three-way matching (POs, delivery receipts, and invoices), and manage vendor relationships and reconciliations.
- Implement robust cash flow management strategies to balance daily cash inflows and outflows effectively.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Take full ownership of indirect and direct taxation, ensuring accurate calculation, timely filing, and payment of GST (including monthly returns and annual reconciliations) and TDS/TCS.
- Oversee statutory payroll-related compliance, verifying deductions for Provident Fund (PF), ESI, and Professional Tax (PT).
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities, ensuring clean, timely, and seamless statutory and tax audits.
- Ensure all accounting practices strictly adhere to current local accounting standards and corporate financial policies.
4. Team Leadership & Process Control
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of accounts executives, ensuring high productivity and error-free day-to-day data entry.
- Review and optimize internal financial controls, workflows, and accounting software processes to eliminate manual errors and bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Commerce ($B.Com / M.Com$), MBA in Finance, or Inter-CA/Inter-CMA.
- Experience: 6–10 years of robust corporate accounting experience, with at least 3 years of direct experience overseeing the finalization of books and taxation.
- Technical Expertise:
- Advanced, hands-on knowledge of modern ERP systems (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books).
- Expert-level MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, financial formulas, and data synthesis).
- In-depth understanding of the current GST regime, TDS slabs, and corporate statutory compliance.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
