The Opportunity
We're looking for two sharp, driven and creative people to join Val-Ed Initiatives as National Short Film Competition Project Interns for The Journey of Honour — our National Short Film Competition 2026. This isn't a coffee-run internship. You'll sit inside the core team and help shape how hundreds of schools across India experience this year's biggest storytelling movement — from the first Canva poster all the way to the final bow at the Grand Finale.
What You'll Own
- Design — Create posters, social creatives (if need be only), and event collateral on Canva that make schools stop scrolling in collaboration with other team members.
- Team Coordination — Be the go-to point of contact for participating school teams — resolving confusion and keeping every group clear on rounds, deadlines and rules.
- School Outreach — Call schools directly to introduce the competition, answer their questions and get them registered.
- Grand Finale Design — Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the core team to plan and design the Grand Finale experience — from stage flow to guest experience.
Who We're Looking For
- Comfortable with Canva or similar simple design tools along with good hands on AI tools — a good eye matters more than a design degree.
- Confident on the phone — not shy about calling schools and having real conversations with good communication skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented and calm when juggling multiple moving parts.
- Genuinely curious about storytelling, values-based education, or exciting event management.
- Available full-time (or near full-time) for 2 months - Can be discussed.
Why This Internship Is Different
- A real seat at the core team's table for a national-level event — not a side desk.
- Actual ownership over design, outreach and event execution, not busywork.
- A front-row view of how a national competition and its Grand Finale come together, start to finish.
- A certificate and a strong letter of recommendation on completion.
- The kind of experience that reads well on a resume — and feels even better in the room.
