Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and customer-focused Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a kids’ entertainment zone that includes an indoor play area, birthday celebrations, events, and family entertainment activities.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer experience, staff management, safety standards, birthday-party execution, inventory control, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations
- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the entertainment zone.
- Ensure the play area, party rooms, reception, seating areas, and other facilities are clean, safe, and ready for customers.
- Monitor daily opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure all operational checklists and SOPs are followed.
- Handle operational issues and ensure quick resolution.
- Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to maintain the facility.
2. Staff Management
- Supervise and manage play-area attendants, reception staff, party hosts, housekeeping, and other operational staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and shift rosters according to business requirements.
- Conduct daily briefings and assign responsibilities.
- Train employees on customer service, safety procedures, emergency protocols, and company SOPs.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, grooming, and discipline.
- Build a positive and professional team environment.
3. Birthday Parties & Events
- Oversee the complete execution of children’s birthday parties and private events.
- Coordinate with parents before and during the event to understand requirements and ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure party rooms are properly prepared with decorations, seating, food, activities, music, and other requirements.
- Coordinate with birthday hosts, entertainers, vendors, caterers, and other service providers.
- Ensure parties start and finish on time.
- Handle last-minute changes and customer requests professionally.
- Ensure a memorable and hassle-free experience for children and parents.
4. Customer Experience
- Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality.
- Interact with parents and children and ensure their concerns are addressed promptly.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Collect customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the overall experience.
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and family-friendly environment.
5. Safety & Security
- Ensure strict adherence to child safety and facility safety standards.
- Conduct regular checks of play equipment and activity areas.
- Ensure staff follow appropriate child-supervision procedures.
- Maintain emergency procedures and ensure staff are trained in them.
- Report and document accidents, injuries, equipment damage, or other incidents.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for immediate resolution of safety concerns.
6. Inventory & Vendor Management
- Monitor inventory of party supplies, toys, cleaning materials, stationery, food/beverage supplies, and other operational requirements.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Check quality and quantity of supplies received.
- Maintain records of purchases, consumption, and stock.
7. Sales & Revenue Support
- Monitor daily admissions, memberships, birthday bookings, and other revenue-generating activities.
- Coordinate with the sales/front-desk team to maximize birthday-party and event bookings.
- Identify opportunities for additional sales such as memberships, packages, food & beverage, merchandise, and add-on activities.
- Monitor daily sales and operational reports.
- Support promotional activities and special events.
8. Cash & Reporting
- Ensure accurate billing and collection procedures.
- Monitor daily cash/card/online transactions and reconciliation.
- Prepare daily operational reports and submit them to management.
- Track attendance, bookings, revenue, complaints, incidents, inventory, and staff performance.
- Maintain proper operational documentation.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in operations, hospitality, entertainment, retail, QSR, indoor play zones, family entertainment centres, or event management.
- Experience managing a customer-facing team is preferred.
- Experience handling children’s birthday parties or events will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Should be comfortable working on weekends and public holidays as these are peak business days.
