ROLE SUMMARY We are an established EPC organisation managing 10–15 concurrent government infrastructure projects across Chhattisgarh. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to be based at our corporate Head Office, providing end-to-end oversight, coordination, and governance across all active sites. The Project Manager is the primary bridge between field teams and senior leadership — ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with government regulatory and quality standards. This role is suited to a seasoned EPC professional who thrives in a multi-project, government-sector environment. Core Objectives: ▸ Drive on-time, on-budget delivery across the entire concurrent EPC project portfolio. ▸ Ensure consistent quality, safety, and compliance standards across all active sites. ▸ Serve as the primary HO-based point of accountability for site performance, escalations, and stakeholder reporting. ▸ Fulfil all contractual obligations to government clients at every project milestone. ▸ Build a high-performance delivery culture rooted in governance, safety, and client satisfaction. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3.1 Site Coordination & Portfolio Oversight ▸ Monitor real-time progress across all sites via daily MIS, site reports, and direct communication with resident engineers. ▸ Conduct structured weekly review calls and 2–3 site visits per week based on project criticality and milestone status. ▸ Maintain a centralised portfolio dashboard giving senior management an at-a-glance view of all project health indicators. ▸ Resolve cross-site resource conflicts, material supply bottlenecks, and execution delays proactively. 3.2 Schedule & Scope Management ▸ Develop, baseline, and manage master project schedules (Level 2 & 3) using Primavera P6 / MS Project. ▸ Conduct critical-path analysis and initiate acceleration measures when delays are forecast. ▸ Manage scope change requests rigorously — evaluate cost, schedule, and quality impact before formal approval. ▸ Drive EPC milestone handovers: design freeze, procurement, mobilisation, testing & commissioning, and final handover. 3.3 Quality Management ▸ Implement the organisation's QMS across all sites in alignment with relevant IS / BIS standards. ▸ Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material approval submittals, and third-party inspection reports. ▸ Drive timely NCR and client punch-list closure; maintain audit-ready documentation at all sites at all times. 3.4 Risk Management ▸ Maintain live risk registers for each project; conduct monthly reviews and escalate critical risks with mitigation options. ▸ Manage force-majeure events, contractual disputes, and client-side delays with appropriate documentation and correspondence. 3.5 Subcontractor & Vendor Oversight ▸ Evaluate and onboard subcontractors; ensure all sub-contracts carry appropriate back-to-back clauses. ▸ Conduct monthly subcontractor performance reviews (schedule, quality, safety); certify bills and variation orders per contract. ▸ Manage mobilisation, defect liability period (DLP) obligations, and retention release processes. Senior Project Manager – EPC (Government Sector) | Head Office | Mid-to-Senior Level | Full Time CONFIDENTIAL — FOR RECRUITMENT USE ONLY 3.6 Governance & Government Compliance ▸ Ensure full compliance with CPWD / PWD manuals, GFR 2017 provisions, and project-specific government directives. ▸ Manage the permits lifecycle: EC / FC clearances, SPCB approvals, PESO licences, BOCW registrations, and municipal NOCs. ▸ Submit monthly / quarterly progress reports and utilisation certificates to PIUs, Ministries, and funding agencies. ▸ Maintain measurement books (MBs), RA bills, and procurement records in formats ready for CAG / CVC inspections at any time. 4. DESIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 4.1 Leadership & People Management ▸ Lead and hold accountable a dispersed team of site engineers and support staff across 10–15 project locations. ▸ Strong conflict resolution capability; commitment to mentoring and developing junior engineers. 4.2 Communication & Stakeholder Management ▸ Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; regional language proficiency is an advantage. ▸ Ability to prepare and deliver executive-level project status presentations to MD, Board, and government client officials. 4.3 Planning & Analytical Thinking ▸ Proficient in baseline scheduling, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and look-ahead planning; data-driven decision-making mindset. ▸ Ability to think 3–6 months ahead and proactively surface risks before they impact delivery. 4.4 Problem-Solving & Decision-Making ▸ Composed and decisive under pressure; skilled at developing workarounds for supply-chain disruptions and regulatory holdups across multiple simultaneous sites. 4.5 Software & Digital Tools ▸ Primavera P6 / MS Project — proficient (mandatory). ▸ AutoCAD / Revit — ability to read and review engineering drawings. ▸ ERP: SAP / Tally Prime — working knowledge for cost tracking and reporting. ▸ Microsoft Office Suite — advanced proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). ▸ PMIS applications (Procore, PlanGrid or equivalent) and GeM / e-procurement portals — desirable.
